I'm Jana, the owner of Spotless Rose Floristry, based in the beautiful
North Cotswolds village of Mickleton.
After graduating with a degree in music, I worked in higher education
and arts administration for a number of years. This was followed by a
career in translation. A leap into the wonderful world of floristry only
came about a few years ago, after a number of life-changing events and
lots of 'what ifs......'
I've always loved flowers and gardening and this, together with my professional background, has given me the confidence to be unique, understand the provenance of the materials I'm using and, above all, commit to using environmentally friendly and sustainable techniques in my designs. Put simply, this means that all the materials I use can be composted, recycled or re-purposed. I don't use floral foam (commonly known as ‘Oasis’) or other single-use plastics such as cellophane or poly ribbon. I use locally grown flowers, foliage and herbs in my arrangements, depending on seasonality and availability, and I also dry my own flowers, which I incorporate in my designs and offer as bespoke gifts.
Just to assure you of my credentials, I've obtained my professional floristry training at Capel Manor College, the Cambridge Flower School and with industry experts Claire Cowling (Thrive Floristry) and Sabine Darrall (Sabine Darrall Floral).
Please get in touch and let me bring your floral dreams to life.
